British Fencing are currently checking that all registered clubs comply with their policy to have a named Welfare Officer, and a Safeguarding and Child Protection policy in place. At a time when mental health issues are at the forefront of today’s concerns it is only right that BDF highlights that it has a new welfare officer in Paul Marshall ([email protected]). Viv Mills also holds British Fencing’s welfare qualification ([email protected]). You can contact either of them with any concerns you may have regarding welfare issues.
BDF adopted the British Fencing policy on Safeguarding and Child Protection in 2018. The policy is available to view on www.britishfencing.com.
