PIERS GILLIVER STRIKES GOLD IN THE INDIVIDUAL CAT A EPEE,   

DIMITRI COUTYA CLAIMS BRONZE IN THE INDIVIDUAL CAT B EPEE IN

Piers and Dimitri will take their place on the podium in the Tokyo Paralympic Games for Wheelchair Fencing.  

Piers is current World Champion & World No1 & World No2 in the Men’s Individual category A Epée & Sabre respectively; Tokyo 2020 is his second Paralympic Games having won a silver medal in the same event at Rio.  Piers beats Maxim Shaburov of the Russian Paralympic Committee today and takes home the gold medal in the Individual category A Epée. 

Dimitri is current World Champion & World No1 in the Men’s Individual category B Foil and Epée.  He brings with him a strong performance record including making his Paralympic debut at Rio 2016, where he progressed to the quarter-final stages in both the category B Foil and Epée events. Today Dimitri beat Pranevich of Belarus and secured the bronze medal in the Individual category B Epée.
